Privacy policy

Little Sprout: Rain & Rest is provided by John Nguyen. This policy covers the app, its web playtest, and this support website. Contact oodaln.support@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests.

Playing and listening

You do not need a Little Sprout account. Puzzle progress, sound preferences, and timer settings are stored locally on your device. The iPhone app stores hint balances and revealed hints in Keychain, which may remain after the app is removed. These gameplay records are not sent to a Little Sprout gameplay server and do not automatically sync between devices.

The web playtest uses browser storage for local progress and preferences. Clearing that storage can erase progress. Listening has no ads or purchase prompts.

Optional puzzle ads

The iPhone app uses Google AdMob and Google’s consent tools for optional rewarded puzzle ads. The web playtest does not serve rewarded ads. Ad services may process IP addresses and approximate location, device or app identifiers, advertisements viewed, interactions, crash information, and performance information to deliver and measure ads, diagnose problems, and prevent fraud.

The app requests non-personalized ads, applies teen ad protections, and does not request access to Apple’s advertising identifier. Non-personalized ads still involve data processing and may use other identifiers. We do not operate a personal-data sales business; ad providers’ disclosures and privacy controls describe their own processing.

Where required, Google’s consent message presents choices before ads are requested. Available choices can be revisited using Ad privacy choices in the puzzle hints panel. You can avoid requesting rewarded ads and continue playing. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Purchases

Apple handles payment. The iPhone app uses verified transaction information, including product, transaction, purchase date, and revocation status, to activate and restore the non-renewing one-month hints pass. We do not receive your payment card or bank details. See Apple’s privacy policy.

Support messages

If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, investigate issues, and maintain support records. Support email is handled through Gmail. Please do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.

Support records are retained as needed to resolve requests, maintain necessary records, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion by emailing support; some records may need to be retained for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons.

This website and web playtest

This support website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes. See GitHub’s privacy statement. The web playtest and earlier support website use OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. These hosting providers may process technical request information, such as IP address, browser details, timestamps, and security logs, to deliver and protect those sites. Platform sign-in may be required for access to the private web playtest. We have not added advertising or an analytics tracker to this support website.

Your choices and requests

You can change in-app settings, decline optional ads, and use available ad privacy controls. You can request access, correction, or deletion of personal information held in support records by emailing us. We may need information to verify your request. Rights and exceptions depend on where you live; requests will be handled as required by applicable law. Requests about information independently held by Apple or Google may also need to be directed to them.

Device-local records generally remain until removed or reset on the device. We cannot remotely identify or erase local puzzle progress or Keychain records. Contact support if you need help understanding your device’s options.

Age and security

Little Sprout is intended for ages 13 and up, not for children under 13. We do not ask for birth dates or create Little Sprout user profiles. If you believe a child under 13 has sent personal information to support, contact us so we can address it.

We use the protections provided by our hosting, email, and platform services. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than yours under their own privacy terms and applicable safeguards.

Changes

We will update this page and its effective date when this policy changes. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
